Nothing matches your search yet. Try “merino”, “chunky” or “kit”, or email us and we’ll find it.
Weight is the thickness of the strand. Your pattern names it, and the ball band suggests a needle size to match.
Count metres, not balls. Two 50 g balls of the same weight can differ by 40 m, so divide the pattern’s total metres by the length per ball and round up.
How much do I need?Yarn calculator
Typical totals for an average tension. Your pattern always wins, but this gets you close when you’re planning.
| Project | DK | Aran | Chunky |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scarf, 20 × 160 cm | 400 m | 330 m | 260 m |
| Sweater, adult M | 1,300 m | 1,000 m | 780 m |
| Throw, 100 × 130 cm | 2,100 m | 1,700 m | 1,250 m |
Buy everything from one dye lot and add a spare ball. We note your dye lot on the order so a top-up matches later.
Ask us to check
Every order is packed by hand and checked against its dye lot before it leaves us. If a pattern needs one more ball than you planned, email us with your order number and we’ll look up the lot you knitted with, so the top-up blends in.
